March Break Boredom Busters in Burlington

Ah, March Break has arrived!

The kids are excited to have a break from school. You’re excited to have a break from routine (hopefully).

But what exactly are you going to do to keep everyone entertained during the break (assuming, of course, that you’re staying here in Burlington and not traipsing off to Florida or somewhere else with a warm beach like everyone else you know)?

There’s fun and excitement to be had here in Burlington, I promise. Here are three of our top picks for boredom busters in Burlington this March Break.

A Taste of Burlington

There are only a few days left to experience this winter’s A Taste of Burlington, so don’t miss out! This event began on February 16 and runs just until this Sunday, March 9. Many of Burlington’s best restaurants are offering a prix-fixe lunch or dinner menu, which includes an appetizer, entrée and dessert, for a set price. You’ll have the chance to try out some fantastic new flavours created by Burlington’s top chefs while getting to explore and experience Burlington’s dining scene. Just don’t forget to make your reservation before you go. Check out participating restaurants and menus here.

Burlington Bowl

Why not lace up your bowling shoes and hit the lanes at Burlington Bowl? With cold weather still in the forecast, you can stay warm inside at Burlington Bowl.

Bowling is a great, family-friendly way to beat boredom. Get a little exercise, learn a new skill and have a few laughs. And don’t be shy about asking for those bumper rails! Find out here about some of the great specials during March Break.

March Break at Burlington Mall

Have you heard who’s coming to Burlington Mall this March Break? That’s right – everyone’s favourite purple dinosaur, Barney along with Mike the Knight. There are two free shows happening daily at the mall, on March 11, 12 and 13. Shows take place at centre court near Target. There’s sure to be lots of laughs and fun for the younger crowd.

Our suggestion? Take the kids bowling, then off to see Barney and Mike the Knight, then book yourself a babysitter (because you’ll need a break by then!) and head out to one of Burlington’s fabulous restaurants to experience A Taste of Burlington.

Don’t forget to check out the Maple Syrup action at Bronte Creek Provincial Park and Mountsberg Conservation Area, and Sweet Water Season at Crawford Lake.

Get out and experience something new and exciting in Burlington this March Break – there’s no excuse for boredom!
