Burlington Entrepreneur: Denise Semple & Associates

Today in the Burlington Entrepreneur series, we’re highlighting Denise Semple & Associates Healthcare Clinic. I was originally drawn to this business because of the ease in booking appointments through their online reservation system, which many other similar businesses weren’t offering at the time they introduced it. I keep coming back for the high level of care and professionalism that I receive every time. They are the go-to destination if you’re looking for award-winning, comprehensive whole-body care in Burlington. And, their new location is stunning and spacious!

Denise was kind enough to take some time to answer a few questions for Burlington Lifestyle readers and fans.

When did your business first open in Burlington?

I began my practice in November 2000. I was honoured with a request to join one of my Massage Therapy teachers (Bodhi Haraldsson, RMT) in an office he was working out of. It was a wonderful experience and opportunity to transition from school to the real world with someone as passionate and knowledgeable as him.

Why did you decide to open your business in Burlington?

Before being asked to work with my teacher, I was thinking I would travel with my new skills. Once I realized how great this opportunity was, I didn’t hesitate to begin my practice here in Burlington.

Tell me about your new location.

We are located at 3070 Mainway Unit #2 just east of Guelph Line on the south side.

Reception 3

The search for our new location took longer than I was expecting, mainly because I was being picky. There were certain criteria that I had envisioned for our new clinic. Some of them being:

  • Easy access from the highway and public transit
  • A ground floor entrance with plenty of parking
  • Visibility from the street
  • Within the vicinity of our previous location
  • Easily accessible to those who are in need of aid

I’m happy to say our new location meets them all and it was worth the wait.

I love this statement: Illness becomes Wellness when we change “I” to “We.” This statement encapsulates the mission and vision for our clinic.
