Labour Day weekend in Burlington, Ontario can only mean one thing! And no, I’m not talking about the ‘S’ word starting on Tuesday. Canada’s Largest Ribfest is back in town for the 19th year, and what better way to wrap up summer?
Spencer Smith Park will once again play host to another fantastic Burlington festival. It’s the last festival of the season to be held at Spencer Smith, so get down to the Waterfront and celebrate on August 29 – September 1!
Ribfest is a fundraising initiative of The Rotary Club of Burlington Lakeshore. Proceeds from the event go to a wide variety of deserving causes, including health, hunger, and humanity charities, locally, nationally, and internationally. Additionally, Ribfest volunteers can have their hours allocated towards one of the many Rotary-supported charities.
***And this year, the Rotary Clubs of Burlington are making a special appeal for Ribfest attendees to make a $2 donation towards Burlington Flood Relief 2014, to support local families who experienced significant damage to their homes after the August 4th flooding.***
You can even sign up to volunteer at Ribfest – without an army of hardworking volunteers, this festival wouldn’t be the success it is, year after year.
Be a part of the excitement at Ribfest this weekend in downtown Burlington. It’s a fantastic Labour Day tradition here in Burlington!
Hope to see you there! I’ll be taking in all the action while wearing my security vest on Saturday morning and afternoon.
