WEEKEND EVENTS IN BURLINGTON: JUNE 16 – 18, 2017

Take Dad out this weekend! It’s Father’s Day!

Though…there are surprisingly fewer organized events specifically geared toward Father’s Day as compared to Mother’s Day. I don’t know why dads get the shaft, but you sure don’t need a pre-planned gig in order to celebrate your pop! Take him to a concert, a meal, a game, a hike, a sail…the list goes on forever. Burlington has anything you can think of, if not in town, then just a short drive away. Show your dad some love, no excuses.

The Sound of Music Festival arguably peaks this weekend; the free concerts and Streetfest are in full swing, “peace and love” fill the air, and the city is just dripping with cool. It IS summer fun. Take your dad! Take someone else’s dad! Just go!

And even if just for this weekend, just go ahead and laugh at your dad’s jokes.
