Shop the Neighbourhood returns to downtown Burlington on November 29! Shop the Neighbourhood gives the Burlington community the opportunity to celebrate and support businesses in our neighbourhood by making local purchases. You can either participate as a business or as a shopper.
Shop the Neighbourhood is a national initiative of Yellow Pages, with big local impact. It takes place on one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year – between Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Local businesses will offer plenty of exclusive event day deals or promotions to bring customers to their doors. Participating businesses can be recognized by their Shop the Neighbourhood window cling. They’ll have lots of great products on display and stores will be decked out in yellow decorations. Participating businesses will be easy to recognize. Businesses can join for free.
There are lots of reasons, of course, including supporting your community, creating jobs locally, and contributing to building healthy, thriving neighbourhoods. Shop the Neighbourhood is the perfect opportunity to visit some of those stores you’ve always wondered about, but never popped in to. These stores are owned by your fellow Burlingtonians – wouldn’t you love to hear their story? You might be surprised what hidden gems you’ll discover during Shop the Neighbourhood.
This video gives a nice summary of last year’s event, and looks ahead to this year. There are a couple of Burlington cameos in there, so check it out!
